About Me
My Background
A civil/structural engineering graduate from The University of Alabama, who now works as a software engineer in the Space & Defense industry in Huntsville, Alabama.
During my time at UA, I focused in project management, structural analysis methods, and software development. I worked on research projects ranging from material design and testing using MATLAB and C# to high-speed wind-tunnel testing of structures using LabVIEW, C, and Python. Working and leading student project teams, I found that good leadership requires positivity, organization, and a willingness to embrace necessary change - 3 traits that I try to bring to any team I’m lucky enough to be a part of.
I’m currently at DirectViz Solutions, working with a great team of both Army civilian and contractor developers. My work focuses on developing Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software as well as apps and tools used by developers, documentation specialists, and sysadmins within multiple Army commands.
I love workflow improvements, and spend more time than I care to quantify looking at ways to improve my team’s development velocity, release stability, and testing capabilities. See my Professional Highlights for more information!
